Centre: Gilbert Nichols from Dover, England who served an apprenticeship as a clubmaker under Ramsay Hunter at Deal before emigrating. Hunter was related to Ramsay Hunter from North Berwick, winner of the Esmond Trophy in 1928. Fred McLeod on the right, played in a series of matches with Inglis and Nichols in Montgomery (AL) during March 1909.
